Modular Expansion – Marie Renouard Elementary School

Located in the Charlesbourg area, Marie Renouard Elementary School was experiencing significant growth in its elementary student population, resulting in a shortage of adequate learning spaces. To respond quickly to this need, the Premières Seigneuries School Service Centre awarded SM Construction the mandate to design and deliver a new modular complex. The project provided modern, functional learning environments that meet the requirements of the school setting, while adhering to a tight project schedule.

The complex, consisting of 14 modules, includes the fabrication, delivery, and installation of eight modular classrooms, along with washroom facilities, storage areas, a janitorial room, and a staff lounge. A non combustible corridor connects the new space to the existing building, facilitating circulation while ensuring a high level of safety. The entire complex was designed to provide comfort for students and staff, while promoting optimal use of space.
