Due to a lack of space to accommodate all elementary students in its territory, the Centre de services scolaire de la Capitale commissioned SM Construction to design and build a new modular school complex for École des Berges. This initiative helped address the growth in the student population by providing modern, functional facilities that were quickly operational.
The project consists of 12 modules measuring approximately 60 feet in length, 12 feet in width, and 12 feet in height. It includes the design, manufacturing, installation, and finishing of the following components:
- 8 modular classrooms
- 2 mechanical rooms
- 2 washroom blocks
- 2 janitorial rooms
- 1 non-combustible corridor linking the existing building to the modular complex
