Senior Building Estimator

As a Senior Estimator, you’ll be at the heart of the company’s strategy, participating in diversified projects, working with subcontractors and strategic partners, and playing a key mentoring role with our existing team. Profile sought

  • You have an education in civil engineering, architecture or construction (DEC or BAC), training in construction estimating or any other combination of education and relevant experience.
  • You have 10 years experience in a similar position.
  • You are familiar with BSDQ regulations and procedures.
  • You have knowledge of one of the following sectors: institutional, commercial, heavy multi-family, or modular construction.
  • You are results-driven and rigorous.
  • You are known for your organization and ability to multi-task.
  • You’re motivated and eager to grow.
  • Familiarity with technology tools such as BIM is a plus.

Roles and responsabilities

  • Estimate costs, materials, time, and prepare bid documents.
  • Advise the manager on estimating strategy and provide informed recommendations to optimize bids and target projects with the highest success rate for the company.
  • Identify profitable cost/project alternatives.
  • Maintain and develop privileged relationships with our partners.
  • Ensure compliance and prepare bid closeout for clients.
  • Gather, organize, and prepare proposal documents for director approval and submission to project management.
  • Oversee the estimating process for staff.
