Packaging Manager – Evening Shift

Tardif Métal, a subsidiary of Groupe SM Tardif, is looking for an evening packaging manager for its plant.

Profile sought

You have 1 to 2 years experience in personnel management;
You have packaging experience;
You know how to read plans and specifications (a plus);
You are computer literate;
You are physically fit;
You enjoy leading and managing others;
You have a good sense of direction and good stress management skills;

Roles and responsabilities

Supervise a team of 3 to 5 people in the packaging, painting and sandblasting department;
Passing on instructions to the people under your responsibility;
Pack materials according to instructions, in collaboration with his/her team;
Schedule and inspect materials needed to complete work;
Ensure bundles are checked and labeled.
Prepare delivery labels;
Ensure quality, compliance with plans, specifications and work schedules;
Report any deviations to his/her supervisor;

Commencement date : As soon as possible

Number of positions to fill : 1

Salary : To be discussed (Evening premium of $1.50/hour)

Work schedule : Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Employment status : Permanent
